Dear Benjamin--
> I was wondering if Naftali Zeligman wrote his "Letter to my Rabbi" to an
> actual rabbi or if it was more of a rethorical device.
In fact, both. In other words, the address to a rabbi was a rhetorical
device, but the letter was sent to a group of rabbis.
> If he sent it to an
> actual rabbi was there ever a response? Or, has there been an unsolicited
> response?
No, there have been no responses by now.
Best regards,
N.Z.
